If you have any problems opening Simply Orders in Access 2007, please check the Trust Centre settings as follows... |

1. On the Access 2007 menu, select Access Options (circled in the screenshot below)
2. On the left of the Access Options menu, select Trust Centre (circled in the screenshot below) 3. Click on the Trust Centre Settings button (circled in the screenshot below)
4. On the left of the Trust Centre, select Macro Settings (circled in the screenshot below) 5. Ensure that Access will accept applications with digitally signed macros, i.e. Disable all macros except digitally signed macros.

When I open Simply Orders in Access, how do I prevent it from asking every time if the file is from a trusted source? (2003, 2007 macro security) |

From Access 2003 onwards, Microsoft added security measures to the office suite, to prevent malicious code from being run on e.g. word/excel documents attached to spam email. This unfortunately has the added effect of creating some mild inconvenience when you work with your own custom Access applications. We digitally sign the program code in our applications with a certificate which verifies that the file has come from us and hasn’t been modified by anyone else. Once you make any modifications to the database however, Access no longer recognizes it as being signed by our certificate. This can easily be resolved. Option 1: Add the folder to the Trusted Locations in the Trust Centre 1. Open the Trust Centre Settings (see points 1-3 above) 2. Select Trusted Locations on the top left of the Trust Centre (circled in the screenshot below) 3. Click Add new location (circled in the screenshot below) 4. Browse and select the folder containing Simply Orders, e.g. “C:\Simply Orders\”
